Poem Of The Day

He Has Me in His Heart

“No matter where you are at today…
if you are a sheep…
The Shepherd has you in His heart.
He will find you!”
~ Linda Sandlin, fb post 1/13/13
Because I am His sheep, the Shepherd
Has me in His heart.
If I should start to wander, if it
Seems I’ve gone too far,
He’ll climb the steepest cliffs or brave
The heaviest of storms
To bring me back into the fold
Where I’ll be safe and warm.
He knows I’m prone to wander, that
I tend to go astray.
But He is the Good Shepherd so
I won’t get far away
Before I hear His voice and feel
His staff guiding me home,
Back to the fold where I belong,
Close to His gracious throne.
And there I truly long to stay,
And ne’er again depart;
For Christ is my sweet Shepherd, and
He has me in His heart.
“My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish;
neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand.”
John 10:27-28 NKJV
